cog hill is a course of 7000 yardrs with 4 par 5 holes.
a great field here stats have favored greens in regulation men again along with
players both long and accurate off the tee.
like two plays here and maybe a third

campbell +06 over mickleson 1 unit
driving stats and gir stats are greatly favor campbell.
i worry about mick getting the ball up and down every hole but
i will take my chances. plus you are getting the name <juice>
that goes with mick

furyk-5 over toms 1 unit
two real close on stats but the toms gir stat is a little skewered by the great
week last week. plus i like going with a player of furyks quality
against a guy after a win.

also looking at crane over austin but still kicking it around

good luck

ytd 50-25-3
22.3 units

i know crane is the better player here
but the stats just dont add up to a play

besides my favorite expression is < there will be some more games tomorrow>
so i will not force a play and pass on the crane over austin

good luck

Sea

I heard Austin has a bad back, he had to pull out last week and probably still isn't 100%. Crane played great last week and should continue.

I wish I was a 3.7. I am a 15.8. Was a 13.5 3 years ago, that is the lowest I've been. It seems hard to get past this point unless I am playing and practicing every day.

if you are not working real hard on your short game , thats where you can really improve

thats what has happened to me
tee to green i am a s good as i ever was but from 50 yards in i look like a guy after an all night drunk in need of another drink

yeah i used to be able to use a PW from anywhere around the green and get up and down, now it seems like I chip it over all the time.

Sea, the short game is it as you know... I am a five handicap now and it would astonish people at how bad some of my shots are...BUT, I chip around the green and get up and down about 60+% and average about 29-30 putts a round. I only hit half the greens in reg, but I save half of those. Its not pretty but it works for me.... To those who care, the best money I ever spent was on a one day short game clinic from a local pro, that alone cut 4 strokes off my handicap and I was at a ten then. Hope this helps someone improve...

Sea,

Are you my long lost twin? My game from inside of 50 is pathetic. I shot 74 last Friday with 5 3 putts. I play with these kids, they're chipping it in and I"m trying to hit the f*cking green from 20 yds out. Oh well, off to putting green. I made a long putter out of a Futura yesterday. That putter rolls the hell out of the ball so I thought I'd give it a try. GL on your plays this week.

Someone told me you lose 80% of your shots to par from within 100 yards. Since we moved into our own house with a double lot and a park across the street I have have become a ton better with the sand wedge. Still haven't broke any windows either

Can anyone tell why I can hit my 3-wood straight as an arrow and my driver always goes right....?

Thunder,

You're 3 wood goes straighter because it's shorter and has more loft. If you're losing your drives to the right the club's shaft might be too stiff, thus not allowing the face to square up at impact. Or your grip might be too weak. Or alignment problems. It could be one of many things. Ask around and find a good teaching pro in your area and take a couple of lessons. It's money well spent.

does that say 53 putts max? nevermind it says 5 3putts, I was going to say, shit, 53 putts, and still shot a 74, that would be highly impressive.

i actually had the yips at 26
a new record i think, i would even double hit some putts. i was told about a hypnotist that had worked with several tour pros that lived in the charlotte area.i went to see him and it worked wonders. mostly self visualization and breathing drills along with some practise drills.
havent had the yips putting since then
actually got pretty good from 10 ft in
have them now from 50 yards>>>>>
i have hinted for years about the dave pelz school for a birthday gift

what kind of putter do you use. have you tried out the 2 ball putters. I have been using a 8813 for about 4 years. I also have a Cobra TPA iii or something like that in my trunk. It used to be so soft off the clubface but not anymore. It is about time for new irons, have had the original King Cobra oversize for about 7 or 8 years. Thinking Mizuno or maybe cobra again.

in your heart, you know i'm right
